STEINERT is also an experienced specialist in contract slitting. We have our own slitting line that we have customised exclusively for slitting aluminium strip, film, and foil. With delivery quantities of 50 kg or more, we will slit your coils in accordance with your individual specifications. Our own annealing line allows us to slit even very thin foil whilst in their hard state and then subsequently use a soft-annealing process on them.

With conventional cutting methods, edge burrs occur, which can cause significant problems depending on the application. Our high-precision slitting line can reduce this risk to a minimum. The advantage: improved process reliability and thus more efficiency.

Our slitting line is equipped with an eddy current brake that was specially developed for processing surface-critical slit strip. The core of the patented braking system is the eddy current technique, which ensures constant and continuous strip tension and guarantees contactless braking of the slit strip – even in the start-up phase, something that conventional eddy current brakes do not offer. The outcome: optimal processing quality due to scratch-free surfaces, evenly customised coils, and improved efficiency as a result of less material waste.

STEINERT supplies slit strip in a broad range of widths, dimensioned to suit the intended purpose. All of our slit strip are subject to continuous quality control. Moreover, our packaging concept guarantees safe transport, ensuring that your strip reach you in the same condition they left our warehouse – in top STEINERT quality.

Our extensive stock of 800 mm wide parent coils means we can deliver even large quantities of coils in various standard thicknesses – even at short notice.
